Halloween party!

       There was a Halloween party at our church. Ursula and I helped with the games, and everybody else ate food and played the games. I was dressed up as Queen Titania, Ursula was a person in a dress, Pia was and Indian, Cordelia was a flower, Silvia was Tinker Bell, and Barbara was a Viking cheerleader. There was a pumpkin carving contest, and we won second place! We got fifteen dollars to Tastee Freeze as a prize. We also made some yummy treats, Rolos smushed between two pretzels. They were so good, they were gone before I was able to get any.

Krispy Kremy Treat

       We are well into the second quarter of school, but if you finish the first quarter, you should get a treat, right? Well, we did! We went to ... (drumroll, please)... Krispy Kreme! And we beat the after dinner rush! It was so cool! We got to see the making of the doughnuts in the back. They put the dough in to rise, and then drop it in to the hot oil. There is an interesting device that flips them over. They proceed under the glaze that is pouring down. The doughnuts  are picked up with white sticks, and given to the people in line. 

Anyone ever tell you to chew with your mouth closed?
